  • Reading History: Which folios (stories) you've read and when

  • Saved Content: Folios you've bookmarked to your personal Corpus

  • Streak Data: Your daily reading streak and total folios read

  • Interaction Data: Actions you take within the App (reading, skipping, saving content)


Information We Do Not Collect

  • We do not access your email address unless you explicitly provide it

  • We do not collect your location data

  • We do not track you across other apps or websites

  • We do not collect device information beyond what's necessary for authentication


How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide the Service: Deliver daily curated content based on your selected disciplines

  • Personalize Your Experience: Remember your preferences and reading history

  • Track Your Progress: Maintain your reading streak and statistics

  • Sync Across Devices: Store your data in the cloud so it's available if you reinstall the App or use multiple devices

  • Improve the App: Understand how users interact with content to improve curation (in aggregate, anonymized form)


How We Store and Protect Your Information

  • Secure Storage: Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a trusted cloud database provider

  • Encryption: All data transmitted between the App and our servers uses industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS)

  • Authentication: We use secure OAuth 2.0 protocols for Apple and Google Sign-In

  • Local Storage: Some data (like your auth token) is stored securely in your device's Keychain

  • Supabase: Cloud database for storing your user data, preferences, and reading history

  • Apple Sign-In: Authentication service (if you choose to sign in with Apple)

  • Delete Your Account: Remove all your data from our servers by using the "Delete Account" option in the App

  • Change Your Preferences: Update your disciplines and display name at any time

  • Opt Out: Stop using the App at any time


Data Retention

  • We retain your data for as long as your account is active

  • If you delete your account, we permanently delete your personal data within 30 days

  • Aggregated, anonymized usage statistics may be retained for analytical purposes


Children's Privacy

Lyceum is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.
